Educational background and educational contributions
Principal Tse is a renowned and outstanding educator in Hong Kong, having contributed to the Hong Kong education sector for over 50 years. He studied at the University of Hong Kong, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany, a Diploma in Teacher Education, an Advanced Diploma in Education, and a Master of Education (Educational Research, Measurement and Assessment). He later obtained a Master of Education degree from Cambridge University and a Master of Science Education degree from the University of London.
Principal Tse has always been dedicated to teaching and promoting the development of the secondary school curriculum and open assessment in Hong Kong, nurturing many outstanding talents for Hong Kong. He has also served as the Chairman of the Biology Committee of the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), the Chairman of the Curriculum Guide for Biology at the Hong Kong Advanced (A/S) Level, the Chief Examiner of the Biology Examination for the HKCEE, and the Chief Examiner of the Biology Laboratory Assessment for the GCE Advanced Course in Hong Kong at the University of London.

Professor Tse has made many contributions to the University of Hong Kong. He is currently the Honorary President of the HKU Foundation and the President of the HKU Alumni Association. He previously served as a Standing Committee Member and Vice-Chairman of the HKU Graduates Council, a member of the HKU Council, and the Treasurer and Member of the HKU Faculty of Education Alumni Association.
He also served as a mentor in the University of Hong Kong's "Mentorship Program" and established the "Tse Family HKU-Cambridge Scholarship" in 2013 to support HKU students in pursuing further studies at Cambridge University after graduation, thus realizing their dreams. Mr. Tse is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and a Chartered Biologist (London). He currently serves as the Chairman of the Sino-British Foundation Alumni Association, the Foundation's Honorary Secretary, and the Founding President of the Hong Kong Biological Society and the Hong Kong Outstanding Teachers Association.
Principal Tse is dedicated to supporting local education development and has nurtured many talents from different sectors for Hong Kong over the past 50 years.

Dr. Chen Huiming, a consultant physician in the Adult Intensive Care Unit at Mary Hospital, was also deeply inspired by Principal Xie Xien, which strengthened his resolve to pursue a medical career and become a doctor serving at the grassroots level.
